Biography
Chenjie Zheng is a PhD student in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her research examines gender, media, and cultural studies, focusing on how feminist visual narratives engage women’s health, body politics, and social inequalities in contemporary China. She has published in Journalism & Communication Monographs and the Journal of Chinese Sociology. She also presented her work at international conferences such as ICA, NCA, and IAMCR. Her current projects examine mediated parenthood, reproductive politics, and the digitization of women’s health, exploring how media both reproduces and resists gendered power relations.
