Biography
Stephanie Yang is a Ph.D. student at SJMC, UW-Madison. Currently, her research interests lie in journalism, civil society, and social movements in authoritarian contexts. By studying the role of public interest technologies, including AI, she explores how journalism constitutes democratic resilience in societies undergoing autocratization.
