Biography
Hayley Xinghan Wang works at the intersection of computer-mediated communication and information policy. She is interested in the social, political, and ethical implications of emerging technologies. Her current projects examine how the design and policies of sociotechnical systems affect people’s perceptions of trust and privacy, and how those affected make sense of and respond to these impositions. A portion of Hayley’s curiosity also helplessly extends to the puzzle of digital labor, which, in her opinion, is an ever-evolving concept.
