Hayley Xinghan Wang is a first-year PhD student in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her research lies at the intersection of communication and science and technology studies, focusing on the social and political implications of digital systems, particularly how the design and policy frame and shape personal rights such as privacy.
