Biography
Naomi Mine is a PhD student in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at UW-Madison. She is deeply interested in processes by which social and political power are conferred to techno-scientific experts/expertise. Her research explores the intersections of ideology and epistemology in technology-centered communities, informed by scholarship in Science and Technology Studies (STS), the sociology of quantification/standardization, and infrastructure studies.
