Biography
Erica (Jiaxin) Gong is a PhD student in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC) at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her research focuses on journalism innovation and media sociology, particularly how emerging technologies are transforming journalistic practices and news consumption globally context. She is interested in bridging academic scholarship and industry by bringing insights to the development of journalistic norms and ethics in the context of AI. She holds master’s degrees in Journalism from the University of Missouri and Fudan University.
