Zening “Ze” Duan is a Ph.D. candidate in Mass Communications at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and incoming Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore under the Presidential Young Professorship (starting January 2026). His research examines how generative AI functions as a communicator, particularly its role in shaping online attention and influencing partisan information flows. He leads the Computational Methods Research Group and his work appears in Human Communication Research, Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication, Political Analysis, and The International Journal of Press/Politics, and others.
