Biography

Caroline Anipah is a PhD student in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications (SJMC) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is the founder of the Centre for Media and Digital Literacy (CMDiL), a non-governmental organisation aimed at building the digital and media competence of young people and non-literate adults in Ghana. Caroline also previously worked in the fact-checking, Open-source Intelligence (OSINT) and media development space in West Africa.
Her research interests include the role and use of communication and non-traditional journalistic practices such as open-source intelligence (OSINT) by fact-checkers to address information disorder.
