Jillian Padgett

Jillian is a PhD student at the University of Wisconsin – Madison’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Her research focuses on the intersections of media, law, and gender. Recent interests have included book bans in the U.S. and tech leaders’ uses of gendered performances to promote AI and content moderation policies. She holds a BA in Communication Studies from Furman University and an MA in Journalism & Mass Communication from UW-Madison’s SJMC.
