Ningyuan Ma is a doctoral student at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Her research follows two lines of inquiry, using qualitative, primarily ethnographic, methods: (1) how journalists mobilize textual, visual, and quantitative evidence in their knowledge-making practices; and (2) how journalism’s professional culture evolves in relation to increasingly collaborative engagements with emerging technologies.
